Owl + Pussycat Events can help you with creating your entire dream wedding- and that includes the wedding flowers!

Wedding flowers are such a personal thing: colourful, native, vintage, structured or soft- there are SO many choices!

Here are a few things to consider when considering your wedding flowers…

Season

Are you dream wedding flowers in season? Have you always imagined a stunning bouquet of Peonies as you make your way down the aisle? Well, don’t get married in April! Be sure to research when your dream flowers are in season if you have your heart set. Otherwise talk to your floral designer about alternatives that may give you the same aesthetic.
A quick reference check can be found here to see when your favourite flowers are available!

Size

Are you after a statement bouquet, or something a little less? It is important to consider and discuss the size of your bouquet with your chosen floral designer. A bouquet CAN be too big for you, just like a pair of shoes- so be sure to be on the same page by providing photos or making comparisons ie. Dinner plate, Side plate, Basketball etc.
You want people to notice your wedding flowers, but you DON’T want people to notice your flowers before they notice you!

Style

Bouquets are not just a round bunches of flowers! You have options! A trailing bouquet, a loosely hand tied bouquet with a rustic charm, a tightly wired posy… be sure to provide your floral designer with some images, or drawings of the style of bouquet Natural steroids you dream of! Your wedding flowers should reflect you, your style, and your overall theme of your wedding day.

We hope these little hints will help you when making your floral choice when it comes to your wedding flowers.
